Join the Members Enclosure team at The Aylsham Show

The Aylsham Show is calling for enthusiastic volunteers to take on an exciting members enclosure coordinator role, helping to deliver one of the highlight occasions of the local calendar.

Taking place over the August Bank Holiday weekend, this voluntary role offers the chance to get involved behind the scenes of a much-loved community event, with some planning and preparation in the lead-up.

At the heart of the role is the organisation of the Show’s popular Dinner Dance, an evening that brings together more than 500 guests for entertainment, fundraising, and celebration. Working as part of a friendly and dedicated team, the Coordinator will help ensure the event runs smoothly – from supporting catering, bar services, and entertainment, to assisting with raffle and auction activities, including prize sourcing and ticket coordination.

On Show Day itself, the role continues within the Members’ enclosure, acting as a welcoming and visible point of contact while helping the team deliver a seamless experience for attendees.

Organisers are looking for someone who is organised, proactive, and enjoys working with people. Strong communication skills and an interest in community events and fundraising are key, along with the ability to thrive in a busy environment.

In return, volunteers will gain valuable hands-on experience in event coordination, meet new people, and play a meaningful role in supporting local organisations and causes – all while being part of a vibrant and rewarding community event.

Anyone interested in getting involved is encouraged to get in touch with Jo via email at [email protected] or by calling 07876 598629.
