The enduring strength and innovation of Norfolk agriculture will once again take centre stage as the much-anticipated Farm Business Competitions return.
The Norfolk County Farm Business Competitions is an initiative designed to recognise outstanding farming practice across the region. Open to a wide range of enterprises, from arable and livestock to mixed and contracted farms, the awards highlight not only productivity but also innovation, sustainability and business management.
Organised by the Aylsham Agricultural Show Association, the competitions continue to draw strong support from across the sector, with entries assessed by judges with an impartial perspective on Norfolk’s farming achievements.
Alongside the main competition, the Farm Hero Awards will once again shine a spotlight on individuals making a significant contribution to agriculture in Norfolk. These accolades celebrate both forward-thinking innovation and long-standing service to the industry, recognising that farming success is built as much on people as it is on practice.
Last year’s competitions saw strong entries from across the county, reflecting the resilience and adaptability of local farm businesses in an ever-changing agricultural landscape. From progressive crop management to diversification and environmental stewardship, Norfolk farmers continue to set high standards for the sector.
With 78 years of history and thousands of visitors each year, the Aylsham Show remains a proud showcase of rural life – where tradition meets innovation, and where Norfolk’s farming community is rightly celebrated.
