Learn From the Land Area

Learn from the Land Area

At the heart of the Aylsham show are our core values of educating people on food, farming, the countryside and the environment. This is where our Education area comes in, creating a vibrant space where the public can learn about agriculture, where their food comes from and the environment that surrounds us.

Throughout the day there are various free activities hosted by key local organisations designed to cultivate thinking on our agricultural surroundings and its importance to our everyday lives.

For 2026 our theme is fantastic Fruit and Veg! In Norfolk we are incredibly lucky to have such a diverse rotation, as well as fantastic food producers on our doorstep. We look to celebrate this in the area this year with a range of free activities.

Organisations attending include:

Place UK

Norfolk Federation of Young Farmers Clubs

Food and Farming Discovery Trust

Compassion in World Farming

City College Norwich, Easton and Paston Colleges

Norfolk Farm Machinery Club

The Bucket List

Norfolk Wildlife Trust

Norfolk FWAG

Norfolk Blueberries

Within the area will also be the main marquee which will be hosting activities from story telling that will bring to life tales of the land, to arts and crafts that can be taken home. As well as a reading area and a chance to learn about what produce can be found locally.

The work the Learn From The Land Area sub-committee do to deliver this area would not be possible without the help of the organisations present and the Sponsors listed. In particular, The Morley Agricultural Foundation for whose grant support we are incredibly grateful and which is so vital towards setting up the infrastucture of this Area. More information on this charity and the wonderful work they do in the agricultural community can be found here: https://tmaf.co.uk

This area will also include information and the Winners of the Farm Business Competitions and Farm Hero Awards.

The Learn from the Land area is in its regular location, it can be found near the Agricultural Trade Stands area and will be well signposted.

We look forward to welcoming you for a day of fun and farming!
