Learn From the Land Area

Learn from the Land Area

At the heart of the Aylsham show are our core values of educating people on food, farming, the countryside and the environment. This is where our Education area comes in, creating a vibrant space where the public can learn about agriculture, where their food comes from and the environment that surrounds us.

Throughout the day there are various free activities hosted by key local organisations designed to cultivate thinking on our agricultural surroundings and its importance to our everyday lives.

For 2025 our theme is potatoes! The humble potato is not only a regular on our dinner plates but is also an important part of farming rotations in Norfolk. Within the area you will have the chance the learn about the process of a potato from field to fork.

Organisations attending include:

Norfolk Young Farmers Clubs

Food and Farming Discovery Trust

Compassion in World Farming

City College Norwich and Easton and Paston Colleges

The Papillion Project

Norfolk Farm Machinery Club

Bucket List

Kettle Foods

Norfolk Wildlife Trust

FWAG
