Livestock and Horses

Meet the Animals!

Horse and livestock competitions are the backbone of the Aylsham Show. Each year, cattle, horses, sheep and goats compete in hundreds of classes. These competition events are always popular, with both visitors and exhibitors.

Watch the competitions for prize-winning showjumping, show horses, cattle, sheep and goats at the relevant livestock rings.

Cattle

Cattle have been part of the Show since 1952 and many of the country’s top handlers took their first steps with a halter in the grassy rings at Blickling Park. For visitors, the cattle rings are a great place to see traditional native breeds including the Lincoln Red and Hereford. The Show also hosts popular young handler’s classes.
