As the Aylsham Show prepares to return this August Bank Holiday, organisers are once again gearing up for one of its most cherished traditions — the lively social events that surround the main attraction. Among them, the ever-popular dinner dance held on the Saturday prior promises to be a highlight, blending celebration with community spirit.
Coordinating this major event is Jo Coxford, who is putting out a call for raffle and auction prizes to help make the evening a success. All proceeds raised during the dinner dance will contribute to the Aylsham Show’s charitable fundraising total.
“We’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported us in the past,” said Jo. “Your generosity makes a real difference to our local charities and helps keep this wonderful tradition going strong.”
In 2024 alone, the Aylsham Show raised an impressive £22,000 for local causes, bringing the grand total raised since the show began in 1946 to over £1 million — a milestone that reflects the enduring dedication of the local community and supporters.
Anyone wishing to donate a prize or contribute in any way is encouraged to get in touch with Jo at [email protected].
With its blend of rural charm, entertainment, and fundraising, the Aylsham Show continues to be a summer staple for Norfolk residents — and this year’s looks set to be as vibrant as ever.
